Art for the cusp of 2011? Gazer Future Past

Gazer Future Past is one of my pencil-on-paper archetypal representations of a seer able to look forward and backward simultaneously which is pretty much what many folks tend to do as one year ends and a New Year begins - and we're almost on the cusp of 2011 now!

You notice the symbol of Chiron on her bracelet - and Chiron says, Be Here Now! That's Pallas' symbol on the gazer's forehead though some think it favors the symbol of Venus. Either works for me.

So please meander over and browse 24/7 at my Jude Cowell Art Shop @ Zazzle where you might find something of interest like art-decorated iPhone and iPad cases, or wall art posters and such - and your kind ratings on items are much appreciated, too!

If you feel so inclined, that is.

Wishing Merry Holidays to All and a Happy New Year! Jude

Note: if you haven't yet, opt to check out my latest blog - it's a science-y/poem-y concoction of news and poems about past and future cloning projects called Woolly Mammoth Chronicles, okay? ;p

In here! Roxy's Red Room

Here you see a slice of a new drawing, Roxy's Red Room, so if you prefer to view the lady's entire portrait and snag an opportunity to consider Roxy as an art poster (framed or unframed) for your wall or hall, mosey over to my Zazzle Art Shop and check Roxy out!

Bette Gets Ready!

Bette Gets Ready is one of my fanciful figure studies in the Chiffonery Art series. I like the way the seedy chaise lounge seems to 'droop' echoing the theme of a dancer's drooping stockings!

But can you hear Niobe's Plea?

This morning as I blog on the decline of the American Empire at Stars Over Washington and on Neptune's ongoing transit to US natal Moon (we-the-people) and its dire influence on US housing and economic systems at Jude's Threshold, I am moved to re-publish my anti-war drawing Niobe's Plea.

As you know, in Astrology and Mythology, asteroid Niobe represents the archetype of the grieving mother. And when the misery of grieving mothers is ignored as innocent people are bombed by imperial governments with the collusion of their hand-maiden puppet governments, we know the Earth is in for a world of woe - and the population control brought by war is one of renegade governments' multitude of demons.

This reminds me of one of my Flower Power Generation's biggest questions in our day of the 1960s and 70s: what would happen if governments started a war and no one showed up? Apparently that's what it would take to stop governments from using us as pawns to fight for what amounts to the power elite's political advantages and resource plundering!

Can you dig it?

Woot! Cosmic Persona Designs has a Follower!

Amazing that after five years of maintaining this lonely art blog of complimentary art images, CPD has its first Follower! This may not last long, of course, but considering my previous droopy post on the unstable future of this blog of fanciful figure studies, it's much needed encouragement for a semi-starving artist such as myself who likes spreading art around the globe whenever possible.

So perhaps today I shall publish a banner from a brand new drawing...because my drawings are "fun and sexy", as a viewer has now kindly said! (From this you can tell it takes so little improvement to make me happy.)

Introducing 'Gina', whose full portrait may be seen decorating her own 2011 Calendar now available in my Boudoir Blossoms Art Shop so mosey over and check her out, if you may...

Art On, Everyone! Jude

Also, for a full bevy of glamorous ladies, one for each month of the year, you might try my new Cosmic Lilith Art Calendar 2011 as well.

Marnie Mincing (new art!)

Marnie Mincing is a brand new drawing done especially for Cosmic Persona Designs!

But to tell you the truth, I am once again considering abandoning Cosmic Persona Designs for it has no Followers and few folk dare to leave comments which makes it quite an echo chamber in here, yes?

CPD was my first-ever blog of any description which I debuted way back in June 2005. For a blog, Art Gallery or otherwise, that means it's a little gray around the muzzle these days! And the necessary Adult Content Warning it hides behind a la Blogger probably has a bit to do with how few visitors this gallery tends to enjoy.

(Finding a collection of ugly artwork may be the rest.)

Yet I assert once again: no racy photos are allowed here - Relax, It's Only Art, folks! Don't be afraid!

So it is with pleasure that I premiere for you, lone viewer, a new drawing today: Marnie Mincing. It's been a while since I posted a new drawing here and it may as well be quite a while before I do so again, sad to say.

But will I stop perpetrating my color-penciled Chiffonery Art, Boudoir Blossoms, or 'fanciful figure studies'? Not a chance. But if online viewers don't care for them I shall have to keep them all to myself...not my nature, but there it is.

No harm done's been a fun 5 years of the artful kind. For me at least.

After all, I can't always be drawing Children's, Botanical, and Cosmic Art now can I?

Blue Chiffon Nudery ~ new art

Blue Chiffon Nudery is a drawing I'd forgotten was in my collection.

Perhaps I should have left it in the wings since you don't seem to like it much...

Even so, here's a Reminder for you: Jude's Zazzle Art Shop is open 24/7 for your browsing purposes!

Return of 'Ecology Woman' (art)

Today my drawing Ecology Woman has returned to Cosmic Persona Designs to say she's not at all pleased with what BP Oil has done with the place since her last visit.

And I'm guessing that folks with any eco-consciousness at all remain stunned by the scope and depth of the BP environmental disaster only just beginning to ripple out from the Gulf Coast region of the US.

'Eugenie' graces cover of Glamour Magazine!

Look! My drawing Eugenie's Mirror graces the cover of Glamour Magazine!

My Chiffonery Art never had it so good.

But I'm only kidding.

This is actually a sample of some of the image uploading fun to be had at jpgfun if you wish to check it out. This particular 'cover' is on the racy side to highlight Eugenie's come-hither look, but you'll find a variety of other 'frames' in which to place your images and photos, and many of them are totally suitable for children.

Let Freedom Ring: July 4, 2010

This somewhat saucy drawing was perpetrated in 2005 for America's Independence Day that year but I'm not certain it has ever been published. So here it is to ring in our annual celebratory day of freedom, July 4, 2010!

I mean, why not? Politicians and banksters have set everything else in America to splinters, right? And they've used veils covering veils in order to hide their own selfish interests and goals while they run away with our formerly golden goose.

So with this small example of cosmo-erotic art, I publish a veiled protest on America's disastrous course:

Let Freedom Ring!

United States of America
1776 - 2010

Birthday #234 and barely counting...

'Anna in Tutu' here for you you?

Anna in Tutu has just arrived at Cosmic Persona Designs to wish her fellow Americans a Happy Independence Day 2010!

We're not certain why ballet should go with fireworks, but here she is anyway.

Well, I suppose that Anna is an American ballerina. Maybe it's as simple as that. ;p

fyi: Jude Cowell Art Shop is always open for browsing purposes, if you dare.

Boudoir Blossoms 2010 Calendar a keeper?

Snippet: Boudoir Blossoms 2010 Calendar image, drawing by Jude Cowell 2010+.

Now it's almost July 2010 but I'm wondering if you ever noticed the Boudoir Blossoms 2010 Calendar available from my Cafe Press Art Shop?

It's only $7.99 and displays but one image, an early 'Cosmic Persona Designs', one with a mandala on the wall behind a lounging figure...her face is quite mask-like actually, and drawn with a little more of a psychedelic style than I usually render these days.

Not that I couldn't.

Anyway, Art-infested Calendars are good for more than the year they mark but only if you like the image upon them!

Always Open For Browsing: Jude's Zazzle Art Shop where you'll discover a few more ladies originating from my Cosmic Persona Designs and Boudoir Blossoms collections of cosmo-erotic art illustrations.

That's the deal. There's the scoop.

Cora's Corset

Cora's Corset is a freshly completed rendering done, as usual, in oil and watercolour pencils on paper by Georgia artist, Jude Cowell.

And if you, dear Art viewer, moseyed here from backstage @ the Sepia Art Theater where you perhaps viewed the sepia-toned aura of Miss Cora's Corset, then you are very welcomed here @ Cosmic Persona Designs!

Please mind your manners and leave no spam now for it simply won't be published anyway and you have much better things to do with your time, it is to be hoped.

Simply Let Art Be.

Boudoir Blossoms spinning Art Cube!

Six of my Boudoir Blossoms portraits have shown up on a spinning Art Cube!

Well, they showed up because I put them there. Like the ladies? Use your browser to speed up or twirl the Cube as you wish, and freely link to my Art Cube if you may!

Now how does it make you feel to view the spinning Art Cube? "Oh no, more Boudoir Blossoms...why are they everywhere these days? Put them to rest, Cowell."

Or is there something else bothering you?

Confidentially, the June 8, 2010 Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus @ Aries Point is occurring on my natal Sappho, you know. And Sappho in Astrology indicates Art and Poetry particularly when they are of a feminine nature.

And I'm certain my early Fashion Illustration, Layout, and Design training peeks through each drawing more than one might expect being that my classes were many moons ago and all.

So yes, this SlideShow has been labeled 'Not suitable for all ages'...yet we may all's only Art and fairly harmless Art at that.

You'll find some of these images appearing on Products in my Zazzle Art Shop, if you wish a brief browse.

Art may be soothing for tired eyes and brains, you know!

To view a collection of Children's, Fairy, Moon, Cosmic, and Botanical Art please mosey yourself over to Secret Moon Art as pronto as you can, for there are Cosmic and Flower Art SlideShows in various styles ready to be seen and played with!

This Boudoir Blossoms Art Cube displays 6 fanciful figure studies drawn in pencil by yours truly:

1. Bridget's Red Flower
2. Regina (in orange chiffon bikini)
3. Dahlia (under green lamp)
4. Gertrude's Garter (aka, 'Have You Seen Gertrude's Garter?'; garter with mandala)
5. Frieda's Fuschia Gloves (languishing by the window)
6. Glamorous Glenda (see Glynda's full portrait in red chiffon bra on its own Page listed under Chiffonery Art in the sidebar column @ Jude's Threshold, a tapestry blog blended with strands of Art, Astrology, Politics, Culture, CelebScopes, Wedding Day Astrology Reports on famous couples, News, Financials, and more...

Have you seen Gertrude's Garter?

Look, you can freely admit it to me and I won't tell a soul: have you seen Gertrude's Garter ?

Then you may be sassier than I first gave you credit for!

Reba's Red Scarf is new!

Here's an icon of Reba posing with her new chiffon scarf (not shown.) This icon is fashioned from my new drawing Reba's Red Scarf, a fanciful figure study that will be appearing soon at a venue near you.

Well, a 'venue' on your computer or phone screen at least, in either my Zazzle Art Shop or the one I keep handy @ Cafe Press.

Yes, Reba may turn up gracing an Art Poster for your wall or a Necktie for your suit...her product endorsements are yet to be determined.

So don't be a stranger...Miss Reba says she likes havin' you around and I don't blame're really quite something, y'know?

Shadow Party

Here's my illustration of a Shadow Party the entire world may be invited to...with fluctuating outcomes. My best and friendliest advice: Don't drink the poisoned punch.

Now here's a freshly penned poem for you just because today is Valentine's Day and LOVE is the Foundation of the Universe!

When things seem dark
then concentrate
on what's before you
on your plate
old forces want us
feeling hate
which love alone
can dissipate.

'Promethea as Mermaid' wants to meet you

Promethea as Mermaid is but a banner-sized image of my original drawing yet her full portrait is offered as a small art poster for the South wall in your mermaid room. Plus, she'll look nice hanging near a fish aquarium if you have one because fish idolize mermaids, you know. Seeing her image might give the little fishies something to strive for, however far-fetched their dreams may be.

At Zazzle, you may order Promethea as Mermaid unframed or framed, as you wish. That's what I'd do if I were you. Choose your frame online and there ya go, swimmin' with a mermaid.

Swim by my Zazzle Art Shop just for fun!

A Portrait of Genevieve

Genevieve is preparing for an evening of performances at the Sepia Art Theater - won't you attend?

You may also wish to see the lovely and sexy Collette appearing in Collette's Toast, now available in various forms at Zazzle's Jude Cowell Art Shop.

But Genevieve's portrait is a smidge too racy to appear there!

Star of the Show: a fanciful backstage figure study

Get out your tap shoes and tutus!

For this pencil drawing, Star of the Show, is but one of the fanciful figure studies you'll find here in my Cosmic Persona Designs Art Gallery.

Yet the question must be: which prima donna is truly the Star of the Show and which the 'up and coming' understudy?

So I guess this must also be a figure study of an understudy, yes? ;p

Plus, you may wish to view the sepia-toned version of Star of the Show, now appearing at Sepia Art Theater.

My favorite media: Prismacolor oil and Rexel Derwent watercolour pencils (dry only) on black or white paper.

Elva's Crystal Ball is here!

Here's a close view of Elva's Crystal Ball, a new oil and watercolour pencil drawing by your artist of the moment, Jude Cowell.

In addition, a more muted Elva is now appearing in sepia tones at Sepia Art Theater in case you prefer her 'enthusiam' tamped down a little!
